Nikon D70 Doubts.....Question.....

I think that's BS. Think about all the USA made products that have defects.
That is were some of the highest production costs reside.
More than likely the Thai workers are paying extra attention to getting it
right so they can keep their new found jobs, and make the employer Nikon
happy,.....you don't think Nikon is doing any QC after the fact on production?

have to offer. How does "Made in Thailand" compare to this?

At this point in history its becoming less relivant where anything is
made. Unless you have something specifically against Thailand or
Nikon, buy the camera if its the one you want.

I have the D70, I also have 6 film cameras, 35mm to 8x10.

My N80 was made in the Thailand factory and I haven't had a problem
with it in 5 years and 6000 frames.

What's the difference? As long as Nikon honors its warranty,
you should have no difficult in the worst case scenerio of
the camera being defective.

Doesn't matter where anything is made, its the QC system that is in place
that counts. I guess you're not old enough to remember the days when made
in Japan was junk. I've had my D70 for 3 months and love it.
