$12 to ship in the US or $8 to pick it up? Why not just add $8 to your price
and be honest about it instead of lowballing the price and overcharging for
shipping?

Guess where to put your 'convenience fee'.

Not being dishonest about anything. S/H is clearly stated. Bidders are
welcome to bid $8 less than what they will bid for similar items that start
at $27.95. As for why not start at $18? Save on eBay insersion fee, and eBay
final price fee.

Are you kidding? 8.00 pickup fee? What the hell for?

Look people, if you are not smart enough to figure out the trick, why don't
you email me directly? Suppose I charge $4 shipping and nothing for pick up,
people may be willing to bid up to $24 (just assumed a number). Now I
charger $12 shipping and $8 for pick up, I expect people to lower their bids
to $16. Either way it is $28 shipped or $24 picked up. The only difference?
Now eBay cut final price fee on $16 instead of $24, save me maybe half a
dollar.

I am not trying to hide any charges, and I am not the first or even the
10000th eBay seller who went this way to save on fees. Is it so hard to get
this idea?

I could have stated "no pick-up". And the rule is buyers should not expect to pick up goods.

Obviously by the lack of bids, most people are smart enough to figure
out you're a dishonest sack o s*it.

But then thats just my opinion.

Come on, I just listed it. Obviously you know little about eBay. Not only
because you couldn't figure out how people try to outsmart eBay, but also
because you don't know 90%, if not more, of winning bids are made within one
minute before auctions end. Do your homework before you make a comment,
please.

Interesting contradiction, you claim to be an honest person, yet you
admit you're trying to outsmart ebay. I don't like ebay, and will not
buy anything on ebay, but cheating them out of fees isn't something I
would do even if I did. Is this honest?

Dip****.
