Alfred- That is a rather extensive article. I may have missed it, but I couldn't find whether the new body is compatible with my old Sony/Minolta lenses. Fred |

Yes I can see that it matters to a few applications, I still think that most people would benefit from fewer pixels, and less noise, than they have now even on APS-C. Years ago I bought a G10 (for a wedding, to give me a hot shoe), it was interesting to see that Canon dropped the pixel count for the G12. |

Yes I can see that it matters to a few applications, I still think that most people would benefit from fewer pixels, and less noise, than they have now even on APS-C. Yup! That is why I have stuck with APS-C with my X-E3 & X-T3. All more than enough for me. I just do not have the need for FF, or MF and a silly chase after pixel count. If I were a pro with specific needs in a studio, or for high end landscape photography, and a budget which could justify the cost, then I would be looking at the GFX100. Years ago I bought a G10 (for a wedding, to give me a hot shoe), it was interesting to see that Canon dropped the pixel count for the G12. I still have the G11 I bought some years ago. A great compact camera I would not hesitate to recommend. However, I have not used it much lately since my X-E2 & X-E3 have pretty much replaced it for my smaller camera needs. Now I am thinking of having it converted for dedicated IR use. -- Regards, Savageduck |
