My goD Scott... you're turning into Annika.

Naw, I didn't put the title in all CAPS.

And I should point out that the photo was taken with the totally film
compatible 300mm f/4 IS L.

The lens does surprisingly well as a close up lens, and 300 mm FL is
needed when photographing these little guys because the tend to run if
you get even a little bit close to them.

Nice pic Scott. Sharp and the colors are great. He actually looks
like he's smiling.

I thought that was a gecko. He looks like the little guy on the
commercials for Geico. The only geckos I see are in the pet shop or at
the zoo.

I suppose we'll have to wait for the tail end of this story, will we?

From Douglas, incidentally. After Lionel cross posted a reply to a post in
Aus. Photo I changed my name again. He doesn't speak Aboriginal so he won't
figure this one out!

My point was that the picture is chronically average.... at best.
Was wondering why you would want to show off something so *average*...
.....just like Annika.

RP©

Such "average" pics as you say, are sold all the time for use in
illustration books, magazines, posters, calendars, post cards, etc.
As for Bret's work being "average", Lol......I KNOW you're joking!
He's the best photographer in the NG.

No, he got both eyes in focus. I'd have just made it into another
bokeh shot.

Geckos are cute, but they crap all over the place...especially when you live
in the deep jungles of South America.

When I lived in the Brzilian rain forest...I once counted 34 geckos on the
outside of my screen windows. They would congregate there because the
lights inside my house attracted moths...which the geckos loved to nab/eat.
After getting tired of gecko poop...I began flicking the screen beneath
them--watching them flying into the tall (soft) grass below... (Don't
worry...it didn't harm them). Some of those geckos are pretty bad little
fellas! -I remember one in particular that nabbed a moth SO HUGE that it
stuck out the sides of his mouth at a width that mached the length of the
gecko himself (there are some Huuuuuge moths down there). It was a pretty
funny sight since I don't think the gecko really knew what to do once he
caught him. I waited up for nearly an hour to see what he'd do, but gave up
and went to bed. -Wonder if he managed to swallow it...
