Default Non-Digital Labs in So-Cal

Hi, Can any of you recommend some color and black and white labs in Southern
Calif.?

Preferably in Orange County.

It seems everywhere I go now, labs are processing the negs and scanning them
for digital prints. I want a lab that does it the old fashioned way.

Thanks.

There is a B&W lab which uses the traditional methods in Santa Barbara.
Speciality Photographic Laboratories. They even rent darkrooms for the
do it yourself folks. I have my IR B&W done there. 35mm Develope and a
contact sheet is about 10 bucks. I have not used them for MF. But their
price sheet lists MF. Santa Barbara is a bit of a kick from Orange
County, but I think that they will mail order.

You can try Main Photo. They will do B&W and Colour, and offer a choice of
digitally printed enlargements, or traditional. They also offer AGFA Scala
processing, and will handle Xpan panoramic shots . . . about as full a range of
services as you are likely to find in southern California.

http://www.mainphoto.com They have three locations, so perhaps one might be
close enough for an in person visit. Let us know how it went, if you decide to
use them. I have not, though a few other photographers I know have used this
place, and been happy with the results.

Ciao!
