Difference
Hi all,
I have a Canon 500n plus a Canon 430ez flash gun, I would like to know the difference between a 430 ez flash gun & the later EX type flash gun, ie: what does the later model do that mine dos`ent? Thanks for your help. MPD |

Thanks for your help. MPD The principle difference is that the EX series flashes do another type of flash metering, E-TTL, which doesn't take a reading off the film whilst the shutter is open. It makes a preflash to measure the light and requirements before the main flash is fired whilst the shutter is open. http://photonotes.org/articles/eos-flash/ may be a useful reference. -- regards, dslr |
