How To Change Exif Date on SD Card From Canon Elph SD 850

Hi,

For some unknown reason, my SD 850 entered the wrong dates on about a
dozen photos, which is a bother when viewing images via Windows or
Picasa 2 software on my Vista Home premium laptop.

I called Canon support per telephone, and the support lady did not know
the answer, so she put me on hold, and then gave me a wishy washy
negative reply.

Is it possible to correct the dates on these few images, either in the
SD card, or on my hard drive in Picasa 2? My images are viewed and
stored according to date, and it would be most helpful to have the
correct dates and places.

There's a Linux GUI for it? I didn't know that. There's a Win GUI,
fershure.
