Nicely done. The Last Supper's lighting —or PS manipulations—is
interesting, in that each face is illuminated, but there are almost no
shadows cast by the overhead light "source". Rather painterly.

There are some interesting and powerful lighting effects to be found in
PS, ACR, and Lightroom, among those is the "Lighting Effects" filter
found in the Filters, Render sub-menu. Unfortunately the "Lighting
Effects" filter is only available for 8-bit mode editing.

If you want to work in 16-bit then using the "Radial Grad" in ACR or
Lightroom can do similar stuff for you.

These are highly exagerated examples.

Of course Mac users also have the very powerful Affinity Photo (Mac
only) which has a very powerful lighting tool.
