wrote: What is the best way to make copies of hundreds of 35mm slides? I have several hundred boxes of slides each with more than thirty slides in it and would like to be able to make prints from them. I figure that if I can get them into a digital format I can use any photo type printer. Is there an easy way to do this or do I need to pay a professional? Peter http://www.calypsoinc.com/calypso/bulkscan.php At c. 3,000, they'll charge you 90 cents each. Still, that's a lot o' cash, but someone else gets to do all the work for you, and they'll be high quality scans. Another option is the Pacific Image PowerSlide 3650, which will do bulk scanning for you, at only about $800, plus a lot of your time. Drew -- Drew W. Saunders dru (at) stanford (dot) eee dee you |
