How not to display sharpness of a new, sharp lens
On Jul 29, 2019, RichA wrote
(in ): Yes, the Nikon 14-30mm lens is outstanding. It's nice to see they didn't (like some of Sony's lenses) allow their mirrorless to be besmirched right after their introduction. But, for God sakes, STABILIZE the image!! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sioa3rr2dinre4c/AAC1Vj7CKPum-JXxsNgU0XDca?dl=0&preview=_DSC0219.nef Aaaagh!! The rest of the shots are good. Sort of. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sioa3rr2dinre4c/AAC1Vj7CKPum-JXxsNgU0XDca?dl=0 The first three wide wall shots, all 14mm show unacceptable distortion. The first one also shows fairly strong vignetting. With the second wall shot there has been a fix for the vignette, and the third is still distorted, however seems to be acceptably fixed. The final wall shot at 30mm is pretty good. The final interior kitchen shot at 14mm ISO64, & f/16 is exceptional, and the distortion appears nicely organic. -- Regards, Savageduck |
