cannot "saved" and thus downloaded by those who view the photos.

Thanks!

You can't do the latter; if they can see the pic on their screen it's
already downloaded and in the cache. If you don't want people to download
your pics the only way to stop it is to not upload them.

Not possible. If the end user knows what they are doing, it's
impossible. Now granted, you can keep the average "ME TOO" AOL'er from
downloading them, but someone with 5+ years of internet savvy, no.

www.photobucket.com is cool, its what I use but you can't lock photos. Once
they are seen, they are downloaded.

I'll take a look.. But as mentioned, I'm pretty confident in saying
there is no surefire way to 'lock' photos. As a matter of fact, I'll
even go out on a limb and say that there is NO way to lock photos.
Again of course a certain level of know how is required on the user to
download these images, but usually not much.

Remember, locks only keep out honest people.

There are java scripts that can be used to keep people from saving them
to your computer once they are downloaded in your browser. They can
still probably be found in the cache if you know where to look.

One way to get aroung the java scripts is to disable Java in your
browser. This will allow the files to be save to your computer.
