If you saw that same : exhibit I'd be curious to hear your take on it. Yes, those were the ones, at the MFA and the PEM. The MFA exhibit was more quintessentially Adams, including many of the pictures that are commonly reproduced. But we didn't find the PEM exhibit boring, because it was intended to show a different (if somewhat less successful) side of Adams's work. And my recollection is that it was the PEM exhibit that included the large bank murals, though Martha thinks I'm probably wrong about that. An interesting feature of the MFA exhibit was about a dozen pictures that Adams had taken on his Brownie when he was around twelve years old. Most of those were, in a word, awful. I suspect that it was looking back on those murky, leaden images that made Adams such a stickler for sharpness throughout his professional career. Bob |

Was the amazing difference between pictures you took and pictures she took with your camera? Or between pictures you took at the dinner and pictures she had taken at other events? Obviously since we had two different photographers sharing one camera there were "amazing" differences. More importantly, since the camera both used was Neil's, were his daughter's results better, or worst than his taken at the same event. -- Regards, Savageduck |

That's the worst job of punctuation editing I've seen. The comma should be removed between "better" and "or", but that isn't the more noticeable error. no it aint. -- PeterN |
