If you prefer a socialist "worker's
paradise" there's a nice one waiting for you about 90 miles south
of Florida.
You have yet to notice that those countries that are more
"socialist" than the US treat their citizens much batter than does
the US.
So move to Cuba where you'll be treated much batter, or better,
whichever you prefer.

Or you could move a little farther and get to Venezuela
(Hollywood
Canada, Britain, France, Scandinavia...

Meanwhile, on the "capitalist" front we have the US, Russia,
Somalia ...
Move to Canada, Britain, France, Scandinavia then. Wherever you'll
be happier and treated batter or better than you are here.

There are planes leaving every day, and they'd be happy to have
you. They love anti-American Americans in those countries.

OK Neil, explain how it is anti-American to want to trust the US
government instead of private insurance companies with my health?
And expect the US Gov to step up to the level of health care
provided by EVERY OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRY on the planet! You claim
to be so "Pro-American" but don't trust the government you claim
you support? If you don't trust the Government, then you are a
militant not a Pro American citizen. Wanting to spear head a revolt
against trusting the Gov isn't what I would call "pro" anything.
Uh, why would any American trust the government? This country was
born in armed insurrection against an oppressive government.
Distrusting the government is everyone's duty.

If you feel they are this bad, why do you choose to live here?
You seem to be missing the point. Regardless of how "good" the government
may be, it should not, as a matter of principle, be trusted. That's why
the Founders put in so many checks and balances.

But you're willing to totally trust -for profit- insurance companies that
have ZERO "check and balances" as far as delivering health care?

Far from "ZERO checks and balances" the insurance companies are regulated to
death.

Yep, that's why they can legally engage in price fixing.

For-profit companies of every kind are as competitive as they need to be on
pricing. Why do you think insurance companies would be any different?

Because they lobby to do what would be illegal in any other form of
business.

Remove
some of that protectionism and watch prices and quality improve, just as
they do in every other kind of business.

Yeah like when they deregulated Natural Gas in GA.. And I'm sure the air
quality would have improved if we had left it to the auto industry to
put pollution controls on cars..
