You don't need Photoshop do convert to DNG, the Adobe DNG converter is a
stand alone application.
I don't know if the Lumix LX-3 RAW format is supported, but there are
regular updates for the converter. You will probably find a list of
supported cameras on Adobes site.

I am considering the Panasonic Lumix LX-3 camera but have some
questions regarding the RAW file format it uses. I primarily use a Mac
G4 and the first version Photoshop CS with the RAW plugin. Question is
what difficulties, if any will I have in using this camera with this
setup? I also am aware of the DNG converter available from Adobe. Does
it work with CS1 or is it stand alone and will that make the Lumix
work well?

Thanks

DNG conversion is also performed by Bridge during memory card/camera
read. It is supplied with Photoshop CS3 and up. Provides more naming
options and the addition of tags such as Copyright info.

Don't top post.
