Default continuous flash...

Hello,

I have nikon sb-28 flash. when I switch on the flash, it keeps firing at
regular interval without pressing any buttons or taking any picture.
I changed the batteries to new one. but no difference. this happens when
it is connected to the N70 camera. I now dont remember if this happens
when it is just switched on and not connected to any camera.

has any one seen similar problem? any way to fix it?

Thanks,
-anish
PS: if possible please include me in your replies along with newsgroup.

I remember this personality quirk several years back. I think the problem
was directly related to the flash shoe and a defect there.

Thanks for the reply. how did you fix it? can I fix it myself( if so,
how) or need to take it to the repair shop?

Thanks,
-anish
