Default Editing Software

Hi i have purchased the Nikon D70,but i don,t want to install any of the
software that came with the camera.I want a editing software program,i have
read reviews on Adobe Photoshop Elements 3,but a few people don,t seem to
like it,as i am doing this as a hobby i wan,t a fairly simple program,that
will still let me edit RAW images from the camera,as there are so many
programs it,s hard which to buy any advise most welcome,also has any one got
Elements 3 cheers Stephen.

I use Photoshop Elements 3 and like it a lot. I find it pretty easy to
use and does most of what I would want to. It seems to work with raw
file just fine.

Programs with similar abilities are going to cost a similar price. Elements
has the advantages of
1 - several books on the subject to get you through the early stages
2 - some tutorial material on the web
3 - An interface similar to Photoshop so it you decide you need the best,
there is no re-learning curve.

I like the Nikon software....Its very comparable to PS...And honesty///\\\To
many PS users...HeyBe different...
