A wonderful book for anyone who is a fan of outdoor photography and in
particular the work of the late Galen Rowell who died in a plane crash
a couple of years ago.

Rowell's work has appeared in many magazines including National
Geographic.
This hardback book, published in 1993, is autographed by Galen Rowell
during his "Preservation and the Spirit of Adventure 12th Annual Show
and Dinner" for the Allegheny County Sierra Club.
This 275 page book has beautiful photographs from Galen's collection.
He gives a commentary about why he took the photo, special techniques
he used, etc.

His commentary provides a deeper appreciation of the risks he took to
capture the image.
