New Bessa?
According to UK magazine Amateur Photographer, Cosina has discontinued the
Voigtlander Bessa R2 in preparation for two new bodies- one featuring M7-style automation. Anyone any further information/rumours to discuss? -- Martin Francis http://www.sixbysix.co.uk "Go not to Usenet for counsel, for it will say both no, and yes, and no, and yes...." |

Anyone any further information/rumours to discuss? Lots of wild speculation in various forums (fora?) that I look at, but nothing specific. Everything ranging from another digital a.la. RD-1 except maybe B&W, to a Bessa R3 with only AE added using a hybrid FM3a shutter, longer RF baseline length, TTL flash, variable viewfinder magnification, M mount vs. LTM, and so on. Expect an announcement at Photokina in Sep. It's all just guess work or wishlists. Good time to buy a Bessa R :-) $400 US with a 35/2.5C, or $250 for the body. |
