Default Flash for a Pentax 645 options.

I have a medium format and I'm looking for a good flash to fit on the
hotshoe, right now I have a vivitar 283. But I'm looking for something that
is maybe smaller, less intimidating, since a medium format is pretty
intimidating as it is... also something that mounts fairly flush with
the body because I shoot alot of work around crowds and small busy spaces,
any suggestions?

I'm thinking something along the lines of a flash like the Contax G series
with mounts flush with the body.
Power isnt really a big issue since I'm shooting close range and in daylight
for fill.

Both excellent guns and will give all the dedication, but neither is really
"flush with the body" as the OP requests.

The 360FGZ is smaller (barely, but the more 'curvy' shape gives the
impression) than a 283 and a bit less intimidating, the 500FTZ is bigger.

I've got a Pentax AF280T Flash which I used with my Pentax 645 and it just
happens to be for sale. This flash w/case in mint condition I could sell you
for $100 plus shipping.

Gary

I use a Metz 36 C2: reliable, not bulky, and quite powerful. It's cheap, too.

I have a 45 CT-1 for tougher works.
