broken thermometer?
ok my thermometer just broke.
it stays way above 30c to the other end of the stick and it wont go down no matter what its a patterson one, with blue liquid inside, i can see some air bubbles along the gague that could be blocking the path, theres also an air bubble in the bottom, is this normal to have air bubbles? is it kaput? k |

Try giving it an old fashioned shake. Grab the warm temperature end of the thermometer, slowly raise you arm high, then quickly bring your arm down, the idea that it will force the liquid to the cold end of the thermometer, repeat 4 or 5 times. Make sure you have a very firm grip, on the glass, there should be no air bubbles in the liquid. Make sure you store the thermometer with the warm temperture end up, never upside down or on it's side for more then a minute or two. |
