Protar VII filter size
"Cheesehead" wrote in message ... I'm looking but cannot find the info, at least not yet. Is it a modern metric or one of the Series 'n' type that was common in the era. I'm not sure all Convertible Protar cells were the same size and it might also depend on if its a Zeiss or Bausch & Lomb lens. There are some old catalogues at http://www.cameraeccentric.com for both companies which might have dimentions. The filters used at the time were mostly held in a push on adaptor of some sort or a combination lens shade and filter holder that took large square glass filters. "Series" size push-on adaptors still show up but have become hard to find and you have to find the right size. You may have to make one; they are not hard to make from cardboard. -- -- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA |
