Can't get drivers for Premier DC5085!!!
Hi
I've got a great deal ( I think?) by buying a Premier DC5085 ( a general digi cam). I got it for £39.00 instead of £50.00 because it was missing the driver disc. The camera itself works fine. I thought XP Pro would already have the relevant drivers or failing that I would be able to download them. Both assumptions were wrong. I cannot find the drivers anywhere. Google, various drivers sites, even the makers website doesn't have them so if anyone knows a website or any information about how I could get them, I would be very grateful. TIA. |

I have never heard of this Camera Maker. Can you connect it via a USB cable. Then open "My computer" and see if a new Drive letter has appeared, if it has, you should be able to find the pics in one of its folders, and just copy them across. Otherwise just buy a Card reader, and use that to read the memory card. If it only has an Internal memory, you are out $39. Roy G |

I have never heard of this Camera Maker. Me neither but then I'm just a casual snapper. Can you connect it via a USB cable. Yes, it does connect via USB but when connected XP immediately asks for the driver disk. Obviously XP doesn't have the drivers and won't see it till it does. Otherwise just buy a Card reader, and use that to read the memory card. If it only has an Internal memory, you are out $39. It does take memory cards, up to 512Mb. It's a shame I can't find the drivers because it's a good all round camera especially in low light and simple to use. I do need to connect it to the PC as it's used as a webcam also I like to record video straight to the H\D because I can record for longer. Regardless, looks like I'll be taking it back tomorrow. Thanks. |

Use a card reader and forget about the drivers. -- Bill Funk Replace "g" with "a" funktionality.blogspot.com |
