Blue Ray display of JPEG Slide Show Problem

I have several cd's of vacation pics in JPEG which displayed
properly on a standard def dvd player. All pics displayed.
When I tried to show them on two different Blue Ray players,
many of the pics would not display either as thumbnails or
full size. Can anyone give advise on solving this problem?
The BD players are a Panasonic and a Sony. All pics were
taken with Canon cameras, an XTI and a A1000S. They would
not display in HDMI, or Component. Help!

Check the manuals on the BD players for what they support, and convert
the pictures as needed. Perhaps the image files were too large.
