Default Canon-friendly Dust-Aid pads

Dust-Aid just gave me a test pack qwith some new tacky pads for removing
dust labelled 'Canon'. You stick this pad to the regular pad and it has
lower tack, doesn't risk removing the fragile coating or messing up the
movable vibrating AA of the 400D/40D etc.

It should also be usable with the A700, K10D, but not Olympus (plastic
skin even more fragile than glass filter).

Have yet to test, but if you like the system (it has worked extremely
well for me and is about the fastest 100 per cent dust removal method
you can use in a car or hotel room etc) it's now Canon compatible.

I did use the original pad on Canon before they announced potential
problems, and it did no harm.

David

Yup, it's a membrane. Either plastic or human skin. Have not enquired
further.
