Why are you posting this to rec.photo.digital?

Because x-posts can originate with people reading only those groups -
and this is what the P&S troll is counting on in his x-post list.

So you take down everyone else just to nuke one troll?

I'm not going to debate this with you.

I do suggest that the following might be enlightening.

http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/what-is/part1/

Oooh, look at Mister 'Oighty Toighty. I don't need any lessons on how USENET
operates but you certainly to need to ask yourself if you're not being a bit
of a ****ing prick about this. And you've silently (and politically
expediently) trimmed the headers again you stupid ****.

The hierarchy and charters are in place for a reason.

Such does not preclude discussing DSLR's on rpd or alt.p, but it does
preclude discussing P&S on the rpd.slr-systems NG.

Perhaps, but it looks a bit elitist.

There are over 100,000 newsgroups. Perhaps all should all be x-posted
together to avoid any suggestion of elitism.

If that buries your posts in the noise it may be a good thing!

Please remove the rec.photo.digital.slr-systems NG from the newsgroup
x-posts where P&S cameras are concerned.

Just trying to increase the signal/noise.

Now look who's acting like a troll. You might want to think about that
because, I assure you, I can play that game in my sleep. If you want to get
into Zen theology I can wipe the floor both ways with you. So, chill it.

Oh dear, toilet mouth is insulting me. What shall I *do*?

One more time. There are hierarchies for a reason.

There are charters for a reason.

Even you should be able to figure out that rec.photo.digital is a more
general discussion area than, for example, rec.photo.digital.slr-systems

You still don't get that rec.photo.digital is a more general NG than
rec.photo.digital.slr-systems?

Yes, what I've been doing to Mr. Hardwidge, however he doesn't
appreciate it in practice.

What I observed just recently was the removal of the froups, and without
notice, a little different than setting f-u's.
Peace with both your houses.

Recently many participants of these NGs have engaged the "P&S troll".
While the topic of P&S is acceptable in alt.phot and rec.photo.digital,
it is not acceptable in r.p.d.slr-systems.

Even to contrast performance against a DSLR? Seems a tad rigid.

Even that thread has gone bananas - but I was really referring to all
the crap x-posted by the P&S troll.
