Default Congratulations Canon for the 5D "Best Professional Camera" at TIPA

The word "Press" plays heavily in their decisions.
Also, the phrase "at a realistic price" is included in the citation.
Given these two things, it's a reasonable decision for the TIPA to
make; it fits well with their intended market.
An off-road magazine won't pick a 3-class BMW as their "Vehicle of the
year."

If its the only new model out that year...they just might.

That's why I never put much stock in those (ahem) "awards."
