Default Portra 160nc

Should this film be rated at its indicated 160..I want to shoot a few rolls
tomorrow,mostly people shots, using a Nikon F3...Some daylight shots...but
mostly dedicated flash......Any advice would be appreciated..

Most rate it 100 and develop normally. Works for me, nice and crisp.
Blows up to 8x12's with little grain but fine detail. Negative scans
easilly. Bring your 81A for the shade.

Thanks for the help...Alan...another quick question.....I dont use a flash
meter...with my dedicated Metz...but i want to use lens tissue over the head
if there is not a good ceiling for bounce.....would the tissue have much
effect on the output.....hmm...not sure...maybe thats a dumb
question.....Thanks again...

Back in my younger days, before auto strobes, I was taught that a single
layer of a man's dress handerchief is equal to one stop. If your strobe is
an auto strobe, it should compensate for the light diffused ('lost') by the
layer of tissue.
OTOH, Portra160 has a "fudge factor" of about two stops over- or
under-exposure.

Got back the results .....I used the film + flash with Alans and Kens
suggestions in mind....Excellent results ..Skin tones were right on.....

Got back the results .....I used the film + flash with Alans and Kens
