i find this very useful, if you need an image online for use in any
website.

Why would I do that if I can simply upload the file(s) via ftp to my
http server?

When I try to upload a GIF I get:

"Cannot open source - probably an invalid file format such as BMP, ZIP, AVI, MPEG...

only GIF and JPG files are supported."
