Ignore the trolls challenge
Ignore the DSLR troll. Ignore the plastic troll. Ignore all trolls! Can you ignore the trolls through to the end of February? Can you start fresh, on topic threads that inform, question, educate and progress our knowledge and appreciation of DSLR's, lenses, flash, technique? Can you reply to legitimate posts, only? And such with the good grace and politeness for which you are well known (if, for some, only outside usenet...). Can you avoid leaping in on the obvious trolls and repeating the past comments and arguments that have gutted this NG? The gauntlet is thrown! Let the de-trolling begin! Nikonians, if you are so hard up for better ISO than the D700 (is it really that bad, do you really need tacked-on video that much?), then buy a D3s. Pony up the $5k.
