Sony F828 Flash Problem
My Sony F828 is two years old.
It has receintly developed a problem with the internal flash. When the ambient light level is high and using as a fill flash, the flash works fine. But when the ambient light level is low and flash is required for proper exposure, the flash does not fire. The flash pops up, the flash ready light is on, but it does not fire. This happens in ALL flash modes (Auto, slow sync and forced flash). Has anyone else had this problem? Has it been repaired? Thanks in advance. |

Like I said above, you can set the flash to off, auto, slow sync and always on. In extremely low light it does not fire in any setting. When the light is brighter it fires just fine. It has only been doing this for the last couple of months. Used to work fine. If I use an external flash, it still works fine. |

Sony F828 Flash Problem
"bmoag" wrote in message . com... Does this occur with manual settings? What is the flash intensity set to? What do you mean by "manual settings"? It occurs for all settings of the flash control (off, auto, forced flash and slow sync). An external hot shoe flash still works OK. It has the problem for the flash intensity set to normal or "-". Have not tried set to "+" since when it did work, that would overexpose (normally used "-"). By manual setting, do you mean manually setting the shutter speed and aperture? I normally shoot in progam mode with the internal flash. |
