Default Contax G1

I have had my eye on this camera for many years. I have seen the price
drop radically and was wondering if 525.00 for a refurbished G1, 45
F2, and TLA200 is a good price. I have only handled the G2, hopefully
they handle alike. any comments
thanks
Mike

Does it have a warranty? If so, if it is really good condition, yes. If
not,
it depends if it is a local store or not. It is just a little in the high
range if
it is gonna have tax and shipping added on. If it is local, at a good
reliable
store, I would say go for it.

Enjoy.

Sorry, I put in the wrong price it's 549.00 and it is in DEMO condition with
a 1yr warranty from Contax
1 sales guy said he thought they were actually new, but being sold as used
Demo. Anyway, I placed an order for one hopefully B&H will deliver what they
say it is.
Thanks for the info

Update:
I recieved the package from B&H photo. It had a new Lens 45mm F2, and
a new TLA200. The Camera Body is definetly used, the back has lots of
scuff marks on the left side of the back at a slight angle strange I
fiqure they are from repetative opening and closing.
Inside looks very clean. Knobs are very good condition, view finder is
clear, no scratches or dust, paralax correction in viewfinder seems to
work as it should. Everthing is in Meters I quess I should have
realized that.

The shutter switch seems to be a little touchy as far as how much
pressure is required to activate the AF motor. The scuffs on the back
seem to be the only thing that is of concern to me. Of course it is a
DEMO and it was advertised to possibly have these type of
discrepancies, But I almost feel like sending it back to see if I can
get something a little better, one consolation is the camera has a 1yr
warranty from Kyocera.
The camera came with no strap or rings, body cap, or operators manual
I guess this is normal.
If anyone can tell me were I can a Copy of a manual i would be very
appreciative.

I'll run some film through it to see how it really performs that will
be the true acid test.

Thanks

Shot some off the shelf Fuji, Pictures OK. Need to practice with the flash I
tend to overexpose, I think I need to try some very fine grain film to
really test the lens.
