Default DX3600 went dead

Kodak DX3600 is 2.5 years old & has been working fine till yesterday.
Just stopped. Tried new battery that works in my wife's Kodak, but
will not start up the DX3600. Its lens is extended. Battery terminals
look shiny. Absolutely nothing works. No screen.

Any ideas?

Yes, replace with a new camera. You can probably get it repaired, but
the cost will exceed what an equivalent camera would cost new these days.
Check out the DX7440 or the LS743.

I have a DX 3600 which periodically goes dead. I discovered it is because
the battery wasn't sitting tight in its slot - if I take the battery out and
replace it (the same battery) and then turn the camera on again it will
work - usually. Sometimes it takes a few goes and sometimes the problem
seems to happen on a random basis. Once it starts again it is as good as
ever.

Hi Clemme,

Sorry to hear about the trouble.

I would consider a tradein option, Clemme, Kodak will give you $50 toward
the price of a refurbished camera. Actually, the Kodak Tradein program has
been setup as an alternative to having a product repaired or if you simply
decided to upgrade from a previous model. Seems you may fall into this
group. The program allows you to trade your current camera in for one of
the cameras or bundles listed below.

All camera models and bundles available in the Trade-in Program are
refurbished class B cameras. The cameras are fully tested and warranted for
1 year from purchase and include manuals, cables, and software. They are as
good as new.
