Default Just bought pro1, filter info?

Went shopping tonight and bought the Pro1, I hope I made a wise choice. Guy
threw in a 256 card for free. Is there a low cost filter I can get just to
protect the lens? (low cost as I blew my budget). or any other wise
options out there?

My wife will be taking it to the kids awards day at school tomorrow and she
is paranoid about scratching the lens.

TIA
Gary

PS I don't need it by tomorrow morning ;-)

Well, sure -- an inexpensive UV filter would work fine (don't forget to get
a 58mm lens cap as well). To make you feel a bit better, though, the
outermost element on the lens is purportedly easy to remove and replace
(though not by the consumer) for that reason. Personally, I plan to
continue to live dangerously (my last camera couldn't accomodate filters at
all without a large filter-adapter tube and I managed to go a number of
years without scratching that lens) -- on my Pro1, I have a polarizer on my
filter adapter.
