Then

I guess you shouldn't lose the one which comes with your $7100 EF 400mm
f/2.8L IS, or the $9200 800mm f/5.6L.

....and the $106.50 lens cap should come as no surprise.

That is of course, "Temporarily unavailable."

I've a much better solution:

http://www.lenshoods.co.uk/

Find one to match your lens (FFL or zoom), then print out the template. Cut
it out and test it to ensure a good fit. Overlay it on flexible and durable
matte-black report-cover plastic (~$1.50-$2.50 at any school-supplies
section). Cut it out. Affix the seam with a black-velcro strip for a snug
fit. But one more fun and efficient thing. Give the two side-petals an
inverted crease (valley fold), put into them halfway along their width
(fold running from lens-end to open-end). That way the whole thing
collapses down completely flat (side petals folding inward) to fit in your
camera bag's manuals/documentation section. Total size no larger than the
width of one top/bottom petal and the thickness of 4 thin-plastic report
covers. Extremely lightweight, extremely portable, extremely durable,
extremely inexpensive, and works just as good as any other lens-hoods
you'll ever find anywhere.

How come you DSLR-TROLLS never have decent advice like this?
