If getting the photos from camera to computer is not part of the "workflow", where does it begin? another one of your idiotic semantic arguments and completely unhelpful to the original question. Using your definition of "most" (my personal opinion and not based on any outside data), most photographers consider getting the photograph from camera to computer as the first step of the workflow. that depends on the workflow, what the purpose of the photos are, what apps will be used, etc. if lightoom manages everything including copying, then copying the photos can be considered part of the workflow. otherwise, not. for instance, sometimes photos might be copied to the computer and emailed directly. that's a workflow too. In LR, doing this right is an essential step. If it's not placed in a folder that will be retained, the photo will be unavailable in the future. nonsense. |
