Mondays are favourite for these.

1. 3 day listing
2. Restricted bidders
3. Payment by untraceable funds
4. Contact me first by email before bidding
5. Someone has died and left me this unwanted gift
6. almost always cut and pasted data and photos from a web site
7. very low starting bid with no reserve
8. when asking the seller if you can pay on collection from the place of
origin, replies such as "I am currently on a business trip and will be
away......etc etc
9. buy now for between £900 and £1400 when its worth £3400

oh yes a nice recent one was buy now for £1400 when I asked the bidder if

I have been tracking these auctions also. There are several people some here in
South Florida claiming that they represent a warehouse in New York and in
Germany.
I have their phone numbers and addresses were they pick up their mail. One
loser happens to live about 5 minutes from me. I called him and he told me that
they have 21 Nikon D1X's at the warehouse and that he would give me a great deal
$1300/each. I told him I want to buy all 21 of them. I said I can pay by cash
or credit card and where can I pick them up?
He said for security purposes we just mail these out from the warehouse only
soon as payment is received. I asked if he could meet me at work where he may
feel safe (Police Station) He said No only by mail. He gave me the address but
he doesn't live there, just picks up the money. He probably lives next door.
When I told him I knew where he was and I'm coming over to chat with him about
our deal, he took about 50 Ebay ads off instantly.
At the time I counted over $67,000 US in high end electronics. Laptops,
Nikons, Plasma Screens, and more.
I wonder how many people he ripped already? There are several girls doing this
too, they use cell phones to answer questions so you can feel more comfortable
throwing your money away. They also found ways to make their feedback appear
good. BE VERY CAREFUL!!
I found my NIKON D1X by asking on this group. I drove 200 miles and got it, IN
PERSON. like new in the box. No surprises.
Ebay has to start checking out the people a bit better. With the amount of
money Ebay and Paypal is making, they should have a real insurance for the
high end items
to cover the individuals from the crooks they allow to sell using their
medium. Good Luck
