At the local camera collector's sale every year I look adoringly at the

20s/30s vintage Kodak box folders with the beautiful red bellows.

Then there's the new Ebody 4x5 & 8x10 bodies with nickel hardware.
They're really pretty. (And priced like it.)

The Nikon F4 had some nice lines, as did the Pentax LX. Smooth,
well-engineered, but not harsh. Yet still neither was too outstanding.

Leica, it's ok. Lots of tradition in the design, but nothing really
outstanding today.

Few items today have nice cosmetics, nothing like a piece of B&O
audio eqipment. Elegance is gone. It's all just so much techno-stuff.
(Though I was tempted at one time by an anniversary 'Blad with red
leather.)

Rolleiflex E/F cameras without the light meter look really beautiful, IMO.

Oh yes, those are incredibly cute.

Lots more on all three web sites.

The Gold Limited Edition LX was gorgeous in a gaudy kind of way.

Gaudy is right. Personally ...
I'd rather have one of those gold-plated Schneider large format lenses.

And there's Cesar (on PDML).
He gets snake skin put onto each of his LX bodies.
Pretty to some.
