... I saw a program on the TV and it was claimed most cameras are built in china. is this true ? There's lots of them! For instance, the Kodak Brownie is not built in China, nor the Pentax Spotmatic, or any camera that's no longer in production, for that matter. ;-) -- Regards, Matt Clara www.mattclara.com |

Same with my Mazda, only it was Michigan. I haven't seen such a tag, but it did have a sticker on one of the rear side windows that said that it was built by auto workers in Indiana when I got it......And I notice that Toyota is advertising on the Television that it employs many American workers at its various USA assembly plants......Sort of a ,"Don't have to buy American" message..... |

Most probably only high end stuff (pro) is still made in Japan. I'm pretty sure that the only thing I own that was made in Japan is my car... Many Japanese cars are built inthe UK now (Nissan and Honda etc) And in the US for that matter. Toyota is one of America's biggest employers. And every BMW Z4 is built in South Carolina, even the ones sold in Germany. -- Pete McCutchen |

We have a very big Toyota plant in my hometown, but they don't manufacture anything - it's just an assembly line. -- ? |
