Source for Picture Frames
I'm going to try to sell a few of my pictures at an upcoming arts and crafts
show and I'm looking for a source for inexpensive picture frames and mats. There are a lot of companies on the WWW, but they tend to be a little pricey and I don't have any experience with them. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks, Merkan |

I'm going to try to sell a few of my pictures at an upcoming arts and crafts show I've found price is everything - sell it cheap and put the price out front. They aren't looking for art but decoration: something to cover the stain on the wallpaper or a gift for Aunt Prudence. But then Van Gogh was trying to cover up the wall paper when he made his sunflower paintings. I'm looking for a source for inexpensive picture frames and mats. Hit the nail on the head when it comes to keeping costs down. I have used American Frame, I don't know if they are still one of the cheapest. Quality is fine for art shows. I just looked on their website and it looks like a 10x12" frame with custom mat is $7.30 in a standard Neilson-clone. $10.85 in 16x20". -- Nicholas O. Don't know where you are located but Hobby Lobby has the best prices. I wait for a 50% off sale on frames which they usually have monthly. http://www.hobbylobby.com/home.cfm RPŠ Those HobbyLobby frames look like top quality at a pretty fair price, but if you need just a few, you might do good at stores like TJ Maxx, or Ross or Marshalls. I'm sure they'd be cheaper, and just as sure you wouldn't find two the same. Bob Hickey |
