I did two different crops, and still don't know which I like better.

I like the second one better. For y eye it attenuates the theme.

Along the same concept, here is one that I did, though it is not exactly
street.

Photographer Spends Eternity Waiting For Museum Visitors To Match
Artworks And The Result Is Worth The Wait.

Most of us were bored at some museum at least once in our lives - except
this guy! France-based photographer Stefan Draschan always keeps himself
entertained at art galleries by creating his own art projects.
One of those projects is “People matching artworks”. Although at first
Draschan’s images seem perfectly staged, the secret behind them is
actually patience.

The photographer enjoys visiting different museums mostly in Paris,
Vienna and Berlin where he waits for visitors to suddenly match with a
piece of art in a funny way. The result is these humorous and unique
pictures of unexpected harmony between people and the artworks they’re
facing. It’s usually the outfits that match the art, but there are also
people who match with the paintings because of their hair styles and
colors, or even beards.

We had a glorious example of this kind of thing in this news group
years ago. Somebody posted an image of a store window containing a
large poster, with somebody who closely matched the person in the
poster marching by on the foot path with a closely matching expression
on his face. I remember how I laughed hilariously each time I saw it.

I believe that was a Tony Cooper image.

Try as I might, I could not remember whose it was.

I only hope Tony still has it.

Tony,

My sister has just posted the
https://www.boredpanda.com/people-ma...efan-draschan/
on facebook. How would you feel if I posted one of yours to go with
it. I can understand why you might not want me to.

Neat concept.
I would never post anything on FB without a copyright notice, and then
only a low res version.
We have discussed why many times before.

Now do you see the problems which can result from your cross posting to
unrelated and OT NGs. Especially to NGs where you are engaged in an active
flamewar!

So for the last time. Change your trollish behavior, and stop adding your
annoying cross posts.

alt.computer.workshop cross post removed.

For that reason I have stopped responding to him.

Yup! Facebook is parasitic.

I avoid it like the plague, but my stepdaughter-from-Hell remains addicted

Facetime, and Skype work for me.

I use Facetime to talk with my 94 year old father every day. My globally
distributed cousins are not Mac users so for them the appropriate tool is
Skype. However, for many of my overseas friends and family their current
favored communication tool is Whatsapp, so I have been persuaded to get a
Whatsapp account.

Who is "FTR"? Are the cats dead, or is FTR dead, or all of them dead?

That's 'FromTheRafters' - an ex-US Navy guy who IS still alive (just!)

Did you like the image of his (now deceased) cats?

It's a good capture. Kinda muddy, but a good capture.

Thank you. I'll tell him! ;-)

IIRC, he called the image Yin Yan

Facebook has become the policeman of the Internet and is probably one of
the safest places one can operate on-line nowadays.

Used sensibly, it's a fantastic facility! :-)

I've recently been introduced to WhatsApp too. It seems to work well.
