Saltzman equipment - I got a sales brochure, price list
I broke down and got the Saltzman sales literature from John Craig http://www.craigcamera.com/, and it is enormously helpful. Richard K - as you mentioned, there are many models, and I saw the camera dolly you suggested. Very interesting stuff. Mine is model 30 WAB, the heavy-duty 8x10" enlarger upon which variations are made. There is a lighter duty 8x10, and then a 5x7 and a 4x5. In 1961 the price for the 30 WAB ranged from US $3,300 to $4,500 depending upon light source. |

I no longer remember where I got mine but think it may have been from John when he was still travelling the camera shows. Mine also had a section on Ascor speed lights. -- --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA |

Richard, and others, I am wondering if it is legal and ethical for me to scan the catalog and make it available on a web site. Input? |

I have no idea who might hold the copyright currently. In any case, if this is a non-profit use it probably falls within the "fair use" catagory. The recent revisions of the copyright laws were supposed to simplify them and extend protection to authors of older material which was still capable of making a profit. Its a complete mess. All anyone can do is to warn you to stop. You can then ask them to prove they have any right to do so. If you scan and post it please put it in PDF form. -- --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA |
