Default Advice for Fuji Finepix 500e user.

I tried to take some outdoor photos at dusk. They were just shots of my sons
outside a small tent, about 8 feet away. I just set the camera to auto,
thinking this would adjust to suit the light. The picture came out blurred.
Other shots in darker conditions came out the same. I used flash in these
occasions. I am not too good at photography but are there any easy settings
I could use to obtain a better shot. Indoor shots at night with the flash
are perfect. Thanks....Kev
