Taken with a GoPro camera on a quadcopter flying over the Philadelphia
Art Museum today. It was a dreary day but I'll take it!

It's on a radio controlled style like helicopter, right?
I think it's a fantastic photo. I once thought of getting something like
that to do aerial photos for real estate. The thoughts of collisions
with
power lines dissuaded me though...

Yes, called a Blade 350 GX.

It's GPS controlled so it will land at the spot it takes off without
any assistance.

Wow! I want one.

Good rig, would certainly make me want to do it all again on a better
looking day.

Especially a sunny day without any clouds so there wouldn't be any dark
shadowed areas (from the clouds).

I *like* the shadows and clouds. It's like it's nature's vignette.

To each their own. I've been told it's a detraction. I see your point,
though. It is more natural looking...

I googled, so you don't have to:

http://www.redrockethobbies.com/blad...-p/blh7800.htm

important bit: Our Price: $469.99

Thanks.
That's not all that bad for something like that. I can't afford it, but it
still isn't that expensive.

Depends on the image. Personally I like overcast for many images, and
the magic hour(s) for landscape.

I doubt it. The GoPro camera can range from $200-$400 depending on
configuration and kit.

So by the time I have something that works, I will have spent about 1k.
That's less than the price of five to six meals in a decent restaurant. :-p
