Nikon + Photoshop RAW problem!
I can not figure how to solve this stupid problem that
has occurred here The problem is when I want to open RAW file (.nef) I get some small gray window with only white balance options to correct instead the adobe camera raw dialog window with all the great options that I need? I have PictureProject installed but I work in Photoshop or I did until this problem has occurred. Thanks for help, Tom |

You need to remove the Nikon NEF plugin, it takes precedence over the Adobe one. -- John Bean Computers can figure out all kinds of problems, except the things in the world that just don't add up (James Magary) |

You've just installed the Nikon Capture software and it's put a horrid little file in your Photoshop plugins directory. Here's the path to investigate: Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Adobe Photoshop Only\File Formats I think the file was is called Nikon.8bi - something like that. Find it and move it out of that directory (there is an 'Old Plugins' you can put it into). Restart PS, and everything should be as it was again. -- Owamanga! http://www.pbase.com/owamanga |

Then make sure you download the RAW plugin enhancement version 2.4 from Adobe's site. -- Thomas T.
