pictures downloading

i am very new to this, so please excuse my mistakes.

i downloaded picasa a few days ago. it found all the pictures from my
hard drive. but since then, i have downloaded few more pictures in my
pictures folder, but they do not show up on picasa. please help.

other questions, i have is: pictures downloaded from my camera to my
computer look good. but any pictures i save from 'shutterfly' or
similar programs do not look good once i have saved them... even though
they lok good when i view them on shutterfly. do programs like
shutterfly compress pictures? and if so, how do u decompress them?

Go to File | Add Folder to Picasa and add any folders you want
automatically scanned (make sure they are marked Watched (the eyeball
icon). Any time Picasa is open it will search for and add any new
pictures in those folders.
