A "STARTING" bid of $950? Did you notice that E20s are going for $600-700 ?
Good luck on finding a buyer,a.k.a. "sucker"! By the way,it is NOT an SLR! It may be considered as an SLR "type" by a few! "sgfan3" wrote in message ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=3818753 480 |

Well, if you had visited the auction you would have noticed that there is
much more than just a camera included. Don't you have anything better to do? Get a life! "Douglas" . wrote in message ... A "STARTING" bid of $950? Did you notice that E20s are going for $600-700 ? Oh boy,an extra battery and charger! And if some one pays you $1100,you
throw in a wide angle lens! I have a life, and I still have my $1100! "sgfan3" wrote in message ... It may be considered as an SLR "type" by a few! Yup. He's dreaming if he thinks he'll get more than $600 or so. But he's absolutely, 100%, undeniably correct if he claims the E20 is an SLR, and you are absolutely, 100%, undeniably wrong. The E20/E10 is without question an SLR=single lens reflex camera. The image is viewed and taken through the same lens, whose image is directed to the viewfinder by a mirror. The fact that the lens is not interchangeable has nothing to do whatsoever with the camera's being an SLR. Nor does the fact that it uses a pellicle reflex mirror. A definition is a definition, and it won't change just because you want it to, or people think it should. Before you protest, remember there is a long history of SLR cameras that have fixed lenses with external front-mounted converters (Canon EX, Contaflex, et al.) and SLR cameras using a semi-silvered fixed mirror (Canon Pellix, EOS RS, et al.) I don't remember anyone claiming they were not SLR cameras. I'm sure you're preparing a reply something like: "An SLR *HAS* to have interchangable lenses and a moving mirror." Right, that sounds as ridiculous as "a camera HAS to use film..." |

Well,as far as it being a TRUE SLR,that is a matter of opinion! It uses a
beam splitter instead of a mirror, which in my book makes it an SLR "type" camera. This has been argued about in many camera forums. And yes I know an SLR does not have to have interchangable lenses. spamfree@always wrote in message ... x-no-archive:yes "Douglas" . wrote: A "STARTING" bid of $950?
