Dopitic Adjustment --o o-- --o o-- --o o-- --o o-- --o o-- --oo-- --o o--

I have a Sony A100 DSLR and just picked up a Tamron AF 90MM F/2.8 DI that I use for macro shooting. The issue I have is that when I get tight on stuff I dump the AF (Auto Focus) and go to manual focus to eliminate the hunting of the focusing. When it looks crisp and clear in the viewfinder I take the shots and it is a tad blurring in the image. So what I am thinking is that diopter adjustment is out thru the viewfinder and when it "looks" focused thru the viewfinder, it's far from focused for the shot. So my question is, how can you accurately get the diopter adjusted to match what the image is??? I am still hanging in there with 20:20 vision but I need to get the dioptic zoned in so when it looks crisp and clear, it actually *IS* crisp and clear. In macro mode the depth of field is so narrow that any longitudinal move breaks the focusing. Are you using a tripod and shooting an inanimate object? -- Bertrand |
