Nikon never was a compelling choice for compact film cameras.

The article reminds me of how we probably are with digital cameras today
compaired to how the Canon AE1 sold when it came out. It's going to be
very interesting to see how digital cameras operate in 20 years.

Nikon was never anyone's first choice for compact p+s cameras, so this
is no great surprise. No great loss either.

Olympus and Pentax have far better ranges. For that reason, their
35mm p+s production will survive rather longer.

Hopefully not too much longer.

I didn't know camera production lines were sentinent beings. If so, I
imagine they would be relieved to make good cameras instead of Piece
of **** boxes. Could I recommend the SLR Olympus Pen perhaps or an M
Leica compatible?
