Ebay: SHARP COPY! Asahi Pentax Super Takumar 50mm 1.4 screwmount M42

Up for bid is a superb ASAHI PENTAX multi-coated SUPER TAKUMAR 50mm
f1.4 LENS, with both caps, for use with any screw-mount PENTAX, RICOH,
CHINON, MAMIYA/SEKOR, etc 35mm SLR camera. Matched for the legendary
SPOTMATIC series from PENTAX (1964-1976), this lens is considered to
be one of the best ever from the ASAHI OPTICAL COMPANY.

The reputation of this lens has also been noticed by the Digital SLR
community and this is a much sought-after "alternative" lens for Canon
and Nikon DSLR users.

This particular TAKUMAR, SN 42385xx, is in EXCELLENT condition inside
and operationally. Exterior wear is limited to edge paint wear on the
fronts of the knurled focus and aperture rings. There is a small ding
on the filter ring, which may or may not prevent a filter being placed
over the lens. The glass is clear, unscratched, without fungus or
fogging and with NO interior dust.

Operations might as well be AS NEW - smooth, precise and responsive.

The one I have is radioactive. The back lens has a Uranium based coating. Its no big deal, but
its an interesting fact. Excellant lens. It has a higher activitiy than my Baby Ben clock.

mine too. i had to bake the "yellow peril" out of it! it took about a week
of sunlight in the backyard (when it was cooler out).

not too sure how well these ones do in the digital realm. i know the SMC's/K
mounts do, but i think the rear element of the Super-Tak M42's presents a
mounting problem. that and you need to stop down meter too.
