Default Kodachrome (2017)

Although three years old already, the film "Kodachrome" has appeared on
Netflix's list (Europe) . I an guessing it will be entertaining watching
for most posters here.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1880399/

Who has seen/witnessed the photographers' salute - the equivalent of a
21 gun military salute - which is towards the end of the film? It's the
first time I've seen it, and am keen to establish whether it is a bit of
Hollywood fantasy, rather than a real "thing".

KII, still the best film ever IMHO. K25 was never as good.

My standard was K64 , Benefit over K25 was that you could generally use
it HH.

like i said, it's still slow as hell, plus it had oversaturated
unrealistic colours that for some reason, people liked.

digital is *significantly* faster, with higher resolution, wider
dynamic range, far, far more accurate colours and with a wider gamut.

those who want the 'kodachrome' look (or that of any other film) can
easily dial it in, although there's no reason to do so other than to
intentionally reduce the quality of the results.

'Digital' didn't exist in the 1980s as a consumer photographic item.

this may come to you as a surprise, but it's not the 1980s anymore.

Actually that was Paul Simon solo, no Art Garfunkel.
